Before You Trust Anyone With Your Shares — Including Us
Unclaimed assets attract people who are very good at sounding official. Here is how to check any recovery agent, what the warning signs are, and what we will put in writing.
Why this page exists
Families come to us after a relative has died, holding paperwork they do not understand, often for amounts that matter a great deal to them. That is exactly the situation fraud targets. We would rather you learned to check an adviser properly — and applied that check to us — than took anyone’s word for it, ours included.
So this page is half about us and half a practical guide to vetting anyone in this business.
Our Step-by-Step Process
Check the office is real
We work from Second Floor, SCF-19, Huda Market, Sector 4, Gurugram 122001. Look it up, call the board line on +91-124-4989838, and visit if you are nearby. An adviser with no verifiable address is a problem.
Check the company on public records
Any Indian company can be looked up on the MCA portal’s company master data. Ask any firm you are considering for its registered name and registration number, and check it yourself.
Check the fee basis, in writing
We charge no advance professional fee; an agreed percentage is payable only after your shares are credited. Ask for that in writing from anyone you speak to. [Our fee policy in full](https://globalequitysolutions.in/no-advance-fee-policy).
Check whether they cite sources
Rules here change constantly. We name the circulars we rely on — SEBI’s July 2026 transmission framework, the December 2025 duplicate-certificate circular, the special window circular of 30 January 2026 — and publish where we got them.
Check what they promise
Nobody can guarantee an outcome or a timeline for an IEPF claim, because the company and the Authority control the pace. Anyone who guarantees either is selling you something.
The Global Equity Solutions Advantage
Your assets never pass through us
Shares are credited to your own demat account and dividends to your own bank account, in the claimant’s name. We never ask you to transfer holdings to us for "processing".
We say what you can do yourself
Form IEPF-5 is free to file on the MCA portal, and simple cases do not need us. We say so on our own fee page, which is not a normal sales tactic.
We publish our sources
Our guides cite the circular numbers and dates behind every rule, and we correct pages when we find we were wrong.
We are not affiliated with the government
We are an independent advisory. We are not part of the IEPF Authority, MCA or SEBI, and we do not claim any special access to them. Anyone implying otherwise is misrepresenting themselves.

Common Questions Answered
A fee demanded before any work; a guaranteed outcome or timeline; pressure to act immediately; a request for original certificates without a signed acknowledgement; blank forms to sign; a demand that shares or money be routed through the agent’s own account; and any claim to be acting for, or with special access to, the IEPF Authority, MCA or SEBI.
Ask for its registered company name and registration number and look it up on the MCA portal. Verify the office address independently. Insist on a written engagement setting out the fee basis. Check that the claim will be filed in your name, with shares credited to your own demat account.
Recovered shares always go directly to your demat account. Where original certificates must be sent to a registrar, we advise tracked courier and a full copy set kept by you, and the acknowledgement comes back in your name.
No, and neither can anyone else. Entitlement depends on the records and the documents; timing depends on the company’s verification and the IEPF Authority. What we can tell you, honestly and early, is whether a case looks recoverable and what it will take.
Ask us. Where past clients have agreed to speak about their case, we will put you in touch, and we will not share any client’s details without their consent. Treat any firm that publishes glowing testimonials you cannot verify with the same scepticism you would apply anywhere else.
From one office, in Gurugram, remotely across India, and for non-resident families in the US, Canada, the UK and Europe, the UAE, Bahrain, Hong Kong and mainland China. We do not claim branch offices anywhere, because we do not have any.
Don't Let Your Assets Remain Unclaimed
Every day you wait, your unclaimed shares and dividends sit idle. Our legal team has recovered over ₹250 Cr+ in assets for Indian families.
