Share Recovery Agent in Bhopal

Bhopal’s unclaimed shareholding is heavily weighted towards salaried households — government servants and public sector employees who subscribed to public issues and then held on. We recover those folios, restart stopped dividends and claim shares from the IEPF.

The work is done remotely, and there is no advance professional fee.

A capital city’s salaried shareholding

As the state capital, Bhopal concentrates exactly the population that subscribed most reliably to the public issues of the 1980s and 1990s: government servants on stable incomes, with a bank branch on the way to work and a colleague recommending the issue. Those applications were modest and numerous, which is why so many Bhopal households hold a handful of certificates in four or five companies rather than a large position in one.

The heavy engineering and public sector plants in the Govindpura belt added an employee dimension, with reserved allotments and bonus entitlements landing in the hands of people who had no intention of selling them.

Small holdings are the defining feature here, and they create a specific trap. A folio worth a few thousand rupees at the time of purchase is easy to forget and easy for a family to dismiss as not worth the trouble — which is a mistake, because forty years of bonus issues and splits routinely turn a nominal holding into something substantial. It is worth checking before deciding it is not worth checking.

What Madhya Pradesh families need to produce

In Madhya Pradesh the legal heir certificate is issued by the Tehsildar and applied for at a Lok Seva Kendra, which brings it under the state public service guarantee timetable. The Patwari verifies the heirs locally. Succession certificate petitions go to the district court where the deceased ordinarily lived.

In many cases no such certificate is needed. SEBI’s simplified transmission route covers holdings up to ₹10 lakh per company in physical form and ₹30 lakh in demat, on a notarised indemnity bond and an affidavit-cum-NOC from the other legal heirs.

  • Death certificate, SEBI’s transmission request form (Annexure-3) and the claimant’s KYC documents
  • Notarised indemnity bond and affidavit-cum-NOC from the other legal heirs
  • A Tehsildar’s legal heir certificate from a Lok Seva Kendra, or a succession certificate, only above SEBI’s limits
  • A demat account in the claimant’s name, with a Client Master List under two months old

What we handle for clients in Bhopal

How a Bhopal claim actually runs

Five stages, the same wherever you are. Nothing here needs you to travel, and nothing is billed until the last one.

  1. 1

    Free assessment

You send whatever you have — a certificate, a folio number, a name, sometimes only a company. We tell you what exists and what it is likely worth before you commit to anything.

  2. 2

    Tracing and confirmation

We search the IEPF records and write to the registrar to confirm the holding, the corporate actions applied to it since, and who it currently stands in the name of.

  3. 3

    Documents assembled

Death certificate, heirship evidence, indemnity bond, NOCs, KYC and the demat account details — prepared in the order the registrar and the company will want them.

  4. 4

    Filing and follow-up

Form IEPF-5, the transmission request or the duplicate issue is filed, and we chase the company Nodal Officer and the Authority until the verification report moves.

  5. 5

    Shares credited

The securities are credited directly to your own demat account. Our fee becomes payable at this point, and not before.

The process in full

Zero advance fee — what Bhopal clients pay, and when

We charge no advance professional fee. Our fee is a percentage agreed with you before we start, payable only once the shares or dividends have reached your own demat or bank account. If nothing is recovered, you owe us no professional fee at all.

  • Nothing to pay for the assessment, and nothing while the claim is running
  • The percentage is fixed in writing before any work starts — it does not move later
  • Statutory and third-party costs — stamp duty, notary, court fees, newspaper notices — are paid by you at actuals, with receipts
  • Shares are credited to your account, never to ours; we never take custody of your securities

Anyone who asks you for money before a claim has been assessed is worth walking away from. Read the full fee policy.

Questions from Bhopal

Do you have an office in Bhopal?

No. We work from Gurugram and serve Bhopal remotely. We do not claim branches we do not have.

The holding looks too small to bother with.

Check before you conclude that. Bonus issues, stock splits and decades of compounding mean an allotment of a hundred shares in the late 1980s is frequently worth a multiple of what the certificate suggests. The search costs nothing.

My father’s name on the certificate uses initials only.

Very common on folios of that era, and it is bridged with an affidavit confirming that the initialled name and the full name on the PAN and death certificate belong to one person, supported by identity documents.

Could I do this myself?

Yes, and for a single straightforward folio you probably should. The IEPF Authority’s records can be searched free, and Form IEPF-5 can be filed by anyone. We charge for assembling the documentation, handling the registrar and company verification, and following it through — not for access to something that is public.

What will it cost, and when?

Nothing in advance. An agreed percentage of the recovered value is charged after the shares are credited to your demat account, and government or third-party costs — stamp duty, notary, court fees, newspaper notices — are paid by you at actuals.
